The Artfone G6 and F30 are flip phones with large physical buttons. The clearest difference is the external screen: the G6 has one and the F30 does not. Our G6 also includes a charging dock.
The right choice depends on the user's daily needs. This guide covers the versions sold by Senior Phone. Check the current product page before ordering, since phones with the same model name elsewhere can be different versions.
The main differences
| Feature | G6 | F30 |
|---|---|---|
| Controls | Flip open, physical buttons | Flip open, physical buttons |
| External screen | Yes | No |
| Large buttons | Yes | Yes |
| SOS | Set up contacts first | Set up contacts first |
| Charging dock | Included with our G6 | Check current package contents |
When the G6 suits you
The external screen is useful for checking the time or battery without opening the phone. The included dock gives it a regular place at home. This can suit someone who prefers placing the phone in a dock to connecting a small cable each time. Always check that it sits correctly and is charging. See the G6 and colours.
When the F30 suits you
The F30 suits someone who opens the phone to use the screen and buttons and does not need an external screen. Compare current prices rather than paying for a feature you do not use. Also check internal screen readability, button layout and whether opening the phone is comfortable. See the F30.
Do not choose on the SOS button alone
Both models require contacts to be saved first. Those contacts need to know how to respond. Follow our SOS setup checklist.
Check SIM and network support
A 4G label does not guarantee compatibility with every SIM and provider. Check the supplied version, SIM and 4G calling support together. Read our 4G and VoLTE guide.
Choose together
- Ask whether the user will use an external screen.
- Discuss charging and check included items.
- Look at the buttons and colours together.
- Check SIM, provider and phone version.
- Compare current product prices.
For direct access to the buttons, see the A400. Compare all phones or ask for advice.
